INVITATION: BECOME A MEMBER OF THE SEXUAL DIVERSITY AND GENDER ISSUES SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP (SDGISIG)

The Sexual Diversity and Gender Issues Special Interest Group (SDGISIG) was recently established within PSI to promote research, teaching, evidence-based practice and professional development in relation to sexual diversity and gender issues within psychology. It provides a forum for members to collaborate, share resources and co-operate in areas of common interest, both with each other and with similar professional groups situated within and outside of Ireland .

AIMS OF THE GROUP

  • to provide a forum for psychologists (including researchers, educators and practitioners) to share knowledge, resources and expertise with regard to sexual diversity and gender-related issues;
  • to promote psychological research, teaching, evidence-based practice and professional development opportunities in the area of sexual diversity and gender-related issues;
  • to collaborate with similar professional groups situated within and outside of Ireland ;
  • to inform policy makers and the general public on matters relating to sexual diversity and gender-related issues.
